The North West Region is split into District Associations and Sections.

District Associations

When you join the club you automatically become a member of a District Association (DA) depending on where you live. This does not mean you can only camp with that DA, because as a club member you can camp with any DA within the club.

Central Lancashire DA

The Lancashire postal districts of Bacup, Bolton, Bury, Chorley, Darwen, Heywood, and Rossendale (including Haslingden and Rawtenstall) and covers the following postcodes:-

Those parts of Lancashire and Cumbria north of a line drawn eastwards from Cockersands Abbey through Marshaw to the Yorkshire border: the western boundary being the coastline from Cockersands Abbey northwards to Levens Bridge and then the A6 northwards, also the Isle of Man and covers the following postcodes:-

North East Cheshire DA

Boating Group

Family sailing without having to race – weekend and holiday meets provide a base for cheap, simple camping or caravanning, with access to suitable water.

Folk Dance and Song Group

The Folk Dance and Song Group was formed to encourage all aspects of Traditional and Folk Culture within the social life of the Camping and Caravanning Club. This includes folk music, dance, song, and traditional and contemporary crafts. They provide the perfect partnership between ‘folk’ activities and camping. They are affiliated members of the English Folk Dance and Song Society.

Walking and Cycling Section

The Walking & Cycling Section is the new name for the Camping & Caravanning Club’s Mountain Activity Section. A special interest section for everyone who enjoys walking or cycling. They offer a programme of meets in beautiful countryside where they aim to organise walks and cycle rides suitable for a range of ages and abilities.

Motor Caravan Section – North West

The Motor Caravan Section was established over 45 years ago for like-minded people to meet and camp together. They have a nationwide network make up of Areas and Groups. This section is open to all members of The Camping and Caravanning Club.
